Callum Morton, Monument #32: Helter Shelter at The Gold Coast Arts Centre until 25 January 2019
As a part of their summer program, Home of the Arts (HOTA, or The Gold Coast Arts Centre) is exhibiting Buxton Contemporary Collection artist Callum Morton’s work Monument #23: Helter Shelter. Emerging uncannily from the ground, this monumental work could not be timelier. Monument #23: Helter Shelter is a piece of temporary architecture – a bus shelter rendered in the form of an emergent head of Donald Trump, hollowed-out and replete with inferno flames and bench seating. The work will be exhibited lakeside at HOTA until 25 January 2019.
