The University of Melbourne’s Learning Experience Team invites applications for the 2024 Year 10 Work Experience Program at Buxton Contemporary.

This program provides students with a sample of activities that are part of a career in art galleries and museums. Students will participate in workshops with exhibition curators and designers, connect with UoM work experience students in STEAM for a workshop at Science Gallery Melbourne, collaborate with peers to develop an exhibition proposal and present it to UoM Museums and Collections staff and other work experience students.

Participants discover what it is like to work in the art gallery and museum sector, meet like-minded friends and professional role models, and also get a taste of university life. This program will take place at Buxton Contemporary (4 days) and Science Gallery Melbourne (1 day).
