Dedicated sessions utilising Collection artworks can be hosted in our level one Education space, as well as tutorials or floor-talks in our exhibitions, or semester-long collaborations. We are experts at making contemporary art and artistic practice relevant to any discipline. Proudly situated at Southbank campus, we especially welcome enquiries from Faculty of Fine Arts and Music and Melbourne Conservatorium of Music colleagues.
- Two-levels of exhibition spaces featuring a changing exhibition program of contemporary art.
- Education space/object-based learning lab for Collection-based sessions, break-out tutorials, studio classes or lectures (capacity of 80 for lecture setup). Can be set up in multiple configurations - chairs/tables for in-the-round/studio sessions, or lectern and seating in rows.
- The education space supports in-room seminar style AV presentations. The room tech includes a single projector for displaying AV content by way of BTO laptop or in-room Mac Mini (UoM user account required to access Mac-Mini). Wireless mics are available in room and IR Hearing Assist system is installed to support impacted Users. The teaching space can be configured for a lectern style delivery to seated audience or group work/meeting style table set-up. University Lecture Capture is not available in venue/L1 teaching Space. Zoom capacity is not currently available but is being scoped.
