Inspire and challenge your students with Curate It! at Buxton Contemporary.
This exciting program gives students (and teachers!) the opportunity to deep dive into the Michael and Janet Buxton Collection, and curate their own exhibition using model artworks and gallery spaces.
To begin the workshop, Learning Experience Facilitators will share some past examples of collection-based thematic exhibitions at Buxton Contemporary and guide students through the parameters of the workshop.
Students will become curators for the session and work in teams to develop an exhibition proposal. They will investigate the artworks in the collection using our engaging education database on iPads and exhibition catalogues, and curate their own allocated gallery space.
This program is only offered as an extension to an Interactive Tour.
