RISING: The Butterfly Who Flew Into The Rave

Thursday 12 – Saturday 14 June 2025, 8.30pm

A silhouetted trio of dancers leaning backwards.

Witness the pleasure and pain of a 3-day rave, condensed into an hour

Experience the messy sprawl of the rave—all the pain, sweat and catharsis—condensed into one candy-fed endurance piece.

A realm, where music fans become victims to their passions. Where societal mores and political structures get temporarily pulverised by the bpm. And where the shuffle and spin is the only way to win, again and again and again.

Oli Mathiesen, Lucy Lynch and Sharvon Mortimer are three of New Zealand-Aotearoa’s most nimble club fiends. Backed by Suburban Knight’s booming techno, this is their laser-shot of pure movement—detailed down to every beat.
