Between appearances: the art of Louise Weaver

 

Dancer Michaela Pegum will activate the 1st floor Gallery performing a series of improvised movements and gestures, engaging with the art works, spaces and aural and visual elements that comprise the Between appearances: the art of Louise Weaver exhibition. Pegum’s performance draws upon the changing history of the Buxton Contemporary site which was for a period a rehearsal and training space for dance. Her movements will reconceive the Museum environment as a fluid space of potential and ongoing creativity rather than solely a fixed site for finished artwork or fully realised ideas.
