Art Museums Papers: Issues 1 & 2

Art Museums Papers is a new publishing series from Buxton Contemporary and the Potter Museum of Art that extends the conversations sparked by our exhibitions, residencies and research programs.
Each compact edition offers space for reflection, dialogue and response. Designed by Paul Mylecharane (Common Room) and printed by Tallin Book Printers, the Papers combine thoughtful writing, distinctive design, and room for readers’ own notes and ideas.
The series features contributions from artists, curators, and thinkers engaging with the key concerns shaping art and culture today, from creative practice and performance to collaboration, history and materiality.
Issues 1 & 2 are now available:
Issue 1: Should Art Be Applauded?: Musician, curator and academic Dr Joseph Lallo considers the effects of clapping on performance.
Issue 2: the veil: Lardil curator and writer Maya Hodge reflects on the exhibition of the same title at Buxton Contemporary.
