The Buxton Collection consists of 351 works of contemporary Australian art by 62 significant artists.

Donated to the University by Michael and Janet Buxton, passionate art collectors, the Buxton Collection forms a significant part of the University’s Art Collection and since 2018 has been housed in a purpose-built museum.

The University Art Collection is displayed in curated exhibitions across cultural venues on campus and is accessible through teaching and learning programs.

If you wish to access the University Art Collection, have an image request, have a general enquiry, or identify material in the catalogue that you would like to view in person, please submit an enquiry via the Access Request Form.

We welcome loan requests from museums, cultural institutions, and qualified borrowers for temporary exhibitions and installations of educational significance. We also support access to the collections for teaching, learning and research.
