Halley’s Comet will return twice during Lisa Sam

Halley’s Comet will return twice during Lisa Sammut's lifetime: once at the very beginning, and again somewhere towards the end. Visualising the comet’s elliptical path elicits a strange sense of comfort for Sammut and is the inspiration behind her ethereal works in 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴.

Visitors on social media have captured Sammut's sculptural works swirling and orbiting space, set against a backdrop of video projections. Now we invite you to move beyond the spectacle, with our upcoming artist talk featuring Lisa Sammut.

Lindy Lee is an acclaimed Australian artist known for her unique fusion of Eastern and Western artistic practices. Her work serves as a bridge between the two cultures; blending traditional Chinese techniques such as calligraphy, ink painting and paper burning with Western mediums like sculpture and photography.

Drawing from her background in Chinese philosophy and Zen Buddhism, Lee’s art reflects her deep contemplation of the self and the universe. She invites viewers to engage with deep philosophical questions and to contemplate their place within the vast cosmos...

Lindy Lee’s 1996 painting ‘Waves chatting to other waves’ is exhibiting now as part of 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴.

Teelah George is an Australian artist with an acut

Teelah George is an Australian artist with an acute sensitivity to her materials and their inherent qualities.

Working across painting, embroidery and sculpture, her evocative and tactile works explore the colour and expanse of the Australian sky and landscape. 🌌

George’s works often delve into the complexities of human emotions and memories, and sometimes draw from historical archives or oral histories as a point of departure.

‘Sky Piece, Night (Melbourne)’ by Teelah George is on display now as part of our latest exhibition 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴.

This ethereal work by Benjamin Armstrong evokes ea

This ethereal work by Benjamin Armstrong evokes earthly and cosmic worlds in equal measure.

Armstrong created this seemingly impossible form with hand-blown glass and pigmented wax. At once familiar yet completely indefinable, ‘Into the Underworld’ (2007) conjures both the surreal and the grotesque, creating a collision of attraction and repulsion.

View it now as part of 𝘯𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘧𝘵𝘴.
